Sweet Forgiveness
Deep down you know there is a divine force
That can rescue you
But the shame to admit to yourself
That living the way you been
Hasn’t been fulfilling
That shame is the condemnation that keeps you running from God
The light on your sins, a conscious conviction
The darkness you’ve been covering up
Has already been seen
So you walk with your head down
Or you smile over the lies and coast on
“I’m fine”
Never looking them in the eye
They don’t know what you had to go through to survive
Interrogating mental, physical emotional affliction
Through all the pain, abandonment and hurt, No one ever took the time to tell you
that you are beautiful, talented and creative without an alternative motive
No one ever confirmed you were wonderfully made in Gods image
What God says is contrary to what you have been shown
God loves you as you are
Only walks you to who you were called to be
With love, grace and truth
He sees you and still chooses you
His forgiveness isn’t like man
He’s not waiting to spotlight all you’ve done wrong
He’s calling you to a heavenly home
A better way
All you have to do is
Close your eyes
be still
take a deep breath in
breathe out
Turn around
Confess
You need a savior
